Ogutu Muraya: On Thin Ice

Ogutu Muraya is a writer, theater maker and spoken word artist. Since he moved from Nairobi to Amsterdam in 2014, he has been using diary writing as an opportunity to locate himself in this foreign environment. His life in the Netherlands is reflected in his records as an amalgam of paradoxical experiences: “beautiful, complex and painful”. Over the years, a personal archive has grown that documents the challenges of his personal diaspora experience. A reading from Muraya’s memoir.
